Preaching is the communication of divine truth in verbal form, with the aim of convincing or motivating people to a positive action toward God. The purpose of preaching is that the hearers listen to the gospel and put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that those who have already believed in Him be affirmed, guided and strengthened in their faith. This is a course that aims to help new preachers. If the Lord has burdened your heart with the sacred charge and concern to communicate His Word, you will receive guidance and advice. If you are already preaching, you will find ideas that will enrich your task.

The text will help you discover what preaching is and who is a preacher. You will study the development of a sermon with its components and parts, and you will learn about how to present it properly. Each lesson ends with a personal application section about what you learned and with a drill to develop your abilities to preach.

In addition, throughout the course the importance of God’s intervention in preaching is emphasized because besides a correct interpretation of God’s Word and a faithful exposition of it, the Holy Spirit’s powerful intervention is an irreplaceable requirement for the communication of God’s truth.

Predicación es la comunicación de la verdad divina en forma verbal, con el fin de convencer o motivar a las personas a una acción positiva hacia Dios. La predicación tiene como propósito que los oyentes escuchen el evangelio y pongan su fe en el Señor Jesucristo, y que los que ya han creído en Él, sean afirmados, orientados y fortalecidos en su fe. Este es un curso que tiene el propósito de ayudar a nuevos predicadores. Si el Señor ha puesto en tu corazón la sagrada carga e inquietud de comunicar Su Palabra, recibirás orientación y consejo. Si ya estás predicando hallarás ideas que enriquecerán tu tarea.

El texto te ayudará a descubrir qué es la predicación y quién es un predicador. Estudiarás la elaboración del sermón con sus elementos y partes, y aprenderás sobre cómo exponerlo adecuadamente. Cada lección concluye con una sección de aplicación personal de lo aprendido y una práctica para desarrollar tus capacidades para la predicación.

Además, a lo largo del curso se enfatiza la importancia de la intervención de Dios en la predicación porque, aparte de una correcta interpretación de la Palabra de Dios y de una fiel exposición de ella, es requisito insustituible para la comunicación de la verdad de Dios la intervención poderosa del Espíritu Santo.
