Santiago (James) (1 Unit)
‘Faith on Trial’ is the theme of this letter. Within its five short chapters, James puts our faith to the test. He wants to know if in fact it is genuine or a cheap imitation. “The letter speaks to us where we are.” says D. A. Hayes. In plain language and using short sentences, we feel the impact of James’ words.
The purpose of the letter is not to teach doctrine so much as to help us apply the doctrine in our lives, and to show us how we should manifest the life of the risen Christ to those about us. This study will challenge you to review your life and see if you are living out your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
